Lynn Alexander is an adventurous spirit, nature lover, soul surfer, body worker and modern day yoga practitioner hailing from Ontario Canada. Growing up in the true north Lynn was a skater, skier, avid swimmer, summer camper and all around outdoor girl.

Lynn spent 12 years working in the hospitality industry and studied Culinary Arts and Food & Beverage Management at George Brown College. Her experience working in the service industry formed a deep connection to people, and the joy of serving others. Yet the long hours and stressful pace of restaurant work left her feeling depleted and unfulfilled. Knowing she had more to offer, her own journey towards optimal health led her to the wellness industry. For years, she straddled the two industries, yoga and massage were side gigs to working for Fresh Restaurants where she gained incredible knowledge of juicing and plant based healthy living.

Lynn was introduced to yoga in her late teens, and dabbled in different styles of yoga and drop in classes for years.  In 2007 she began a work trade at a local Toronto yoga studio and spent 3 years working in exchange for yoga classes. This steadier practice deepened her interest in yoga and it's various forms. In 2013 she traveled to India for a 200hr intensive teacher training in traditional Ashtanga Yoga through Source of Yoga. Beyond India, her travels took her across Asia where she received lots of massage, and became inspired to learn Thai Massage.

Returning to Toronto, she studied Thai Massage at the Still Light Centre and completed various teacher trainings & workshops in Hatha, Ashtanga vinyasa and Iyengar style yoga, delving her deeper into dynamic therapeutic yoga and body work practices.

Lynn continues to study the modalities of Thai Massage and Vinyasa & Ashtanga yoga each year with various teachers.

Now, living off the grid in Costa Rica, each moment is a lesson from the jungle and it's all led to right here and now.

Everything I've experienced up until now has led to this moment. It’s led to surf, living in the tropics off grid, in tune with nature’s rhythms. Thrill seeking led me to the balancing practice of yoga, going to extremes brought me to seek restoration, healing and peace. Compassion and empathy have led me to Thai massage, and the desire to help others.

What I’m all about these days:

Walking the talk, studying and developing myself so I can best serve others and this planet

Mindfulness in movement, thoughts and words

Living big while needing less

Food as medicine

Self guided healing

Raising a special needs pit bull

Gardening and eating clean

Creative cooking in an off grid kitchen

Cleansing body and mind using  herbs, whole foods and natural techniques to stimulate the body’s own detoxification processes
